BEACH HEAD

The Classic PC and Arcade hit will soon be available on your mobile device.

Take the battle with you anywhere and play whenever you want.

15 years ago, game developer DIGITAL FUSION INC and Global VR revolutionized arcade gaming with BEACH HEAD 2000, the first ever Virtual Reality (VR) game and one of the most popular and addictive arcade games ever created. Prior to that, BEACH HEAD shook up the PC gaming establishment by daring to introduce the concept of easy to play, arcade-like addictive gaming.

Now, the original game creators are ready to do it again.

What is BEACH HEAD MOBILE (VR)?

BEACH HEAD MOBILE (VR) is a new hard-core, non-stop, adrenaline-pumping first-person action shooter based on the classic BEACH HEAD 2000 only now for your mobile device. Again as a lone gunner, you are the last line of defense against an overwhelming onslaught of enemy fire. You will be rattled as your high-caliber twin-barrel machine gun fires, and jolted as you fire the cannon and volley missiles at incoming aircraft and armored vehicles. BEACH HEAD MOBILE (VR) will keep you at the edge of your seat until the battle’s bitter end.

But this is not your ordinary mobile game that you play while sitting still because in BEACH HEAD MOBILE (VR), the battle is all around you and you can literally and physically be the center of attention.

In Fixed Position mode, you’ll tilt the phone to spin in the direction you want to shoot, but if you choose the body-twisting Free-Motion mode, you’ll be swiveling around like a mad man blasting at an enemy that only you can see.

That’s right, because BEACH HEAD is a turret game and just like a turret gunner moves and turns in real life, you’ll move and turn around with your mobile device! Just imagine the scene of you or your friends spinning around – in your chair at work, waiting for a train, or just standing at the mall – while onlookers wonder what the heck you’re doing. “Just playing BEACH HEAD!” You'll tell them if they ask.

Mobile Mobility

With the new BEACH HEAD MOBILE (VR) you get the best of both worlds. You can enjoy the thrill of the Full 360º All Around Virtual Reality arcade style game experience, and you can take the non-stop adrenaline pumping action of the game anywhere and play it anytime you want. And if you know BEACH HEAD, you know that’s a very exciting proposition on its own, but we are also adding some very powerful mobile-specific features that will enhance the game experience even more.

Features like:

Motion Feedback. Now you'll feel the hits even when you do not see the shooter and feeling every hit will make your experience more intense, addictive and exciting.

Surround Sound. Surrounding sound will help you by making you more environmentally aware of what's around you while making the (VR) experience more immersive and complete.

New Characters and Story Lines. Meet Drill Sergeant Prick and your relief body Bob and face off with your ultimate nemesis Musso-Khan, whose favorite –and only saying is ATTACK!! ATTACK!! ATTACK!!

And now...

LET'S TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!

The original BEACH HEAD game was based on a very addictive level/point system and many reached very high-level scores, but there was no official recognition universally of any kind for these top scores. Without the wide spread connectivity like we have today all the glory remained local to your desktop, that one arcade, or at best to game forum discussions and scattered postings in early social media networks.

But now, with BEACH HEAD MOBILE (VR) and the universal connectivity, we have the opportunity to do it right by introducing the BEACH HEAD Worldwide “TAKE OVER THE WORLD” Score Competitions. Literally just register on the BEACH HEAD community of friends and enter the competition for ‘Top Scores’ and ‘Champion of the World’. Now you get all the fame and glory you’ve earned and deserve, no more anonymous champions, nor forgotten heroes…

Beach Head and Virtual Reality

We are not new to the notion of (VR) gaming. In fact, the BEACH HEAD VORTEK Hood in the original arcade version was a first to the Virtual Reality gaming world. Anyone in the Oculus Rift development team could testify to having played the BEACH HEAD arcade games back then. Virtual Reality was very new at the time, and foreseeing that notion in the original PC game was a big deal in the context of the success that BEACH HEAD has had throughout the world. For instance, in China the BEACH HEAD brand of games were some of the most pirated PC titles for many years in a row, and that still somewhat continues today worldwide. And although we have never seen a penny, it proves just how popular these games really have been throughout the 21st Century.

In the original arcade hit, players lowered a Virtual Reality Hood over their heads allowing them to move their entire body as they pivoted around (in six degrees of motion). Now with the BEACH HEAD MOBILE (VR) version, the enemy will be coming at you from all directions of the virtual battlefield, a window to a 360º world all around you, wherever you point your mobile device.

And now...

VIRTUAL REALITY FOR EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE!

Once again simplicity is the best way to go and we're excited to introduce BEACH HEAD MOBILE (VR) with STEREOSCOPIC 3D Glasses. You can now have VR on the go and play anytime, anywhere. The BEACH HEAD MOBILE (VR) Glasses solution is not only simple and very easy to use, but it’s also affordable. And most impressive, it’s fully compatible with all of the current smartphones in the market today (IOS & Android). That means Virtual Reality for everyone, and an install base of hundreds of millions of users worldwide. Let us repeat that, an install base of hundreds of millions of mobile gamers worldwide.

BEACH HEAD MOBILE (VR) is the first mobile game that can be viewed and played in normal 360º VR-3D as well as in Full Stereoscopic VR-3D modes. The device simply attaches to your phone rather than it being enclosed within the device. It does not restrict access to the touch-screen or the game controls at all.

Interestingly enough there's no real difference in the experience, except for the benefit of no device fatigue or sickness sensation. Take your Stereoscopic 3D Glasses off anytime and switch to the discrete Tilt-Mode, especially at the airport or in flight, as your BEACH HEAD MOBILE (VR) Gear will be no concern to airport security or TSA. Most importantly, there's no sacrifice of the "game play" at all. Because at the end of the day, game play is the most important element of a game as BEACH HEAD itself has demonstrated time and time again.

ENJOY THREE DIFFERENT PLAY MODES

One thing that’s unique about BEACH HEAD MOBILE (VR) is the three different play modes that players can switch to with ease to suit whatever situation or mood you are in. Use the discreet Tilt Screen Mode while sitting on train or airplane, get physical with the free 360º All Around Mode, or go all the way with Stereoscopic 3D Glasses to go for the Full (VR) Experience. It’s always your choice and you can switch anytime. Plus, it’s the same game, the same score count and the same everything on any play mode you choose.

We are totally convinced that keeping it simple and keeping it true is the only way to go with games. It was true then and remains true today. Above all, games are supposed to be fun and compelling to play. Keeping it simple, addictive and easy to play goes a long way, the rest is important but is more like icing on the cake. We are not about to stray away from the principals that already made BEACH HEAD such a great success.

About Beach Head…

For those of you who may not know, the first BEACH HEAD 2000 game was introduced to the PC (personal computer) market in 2000 as a desktop arcade-like shooter. The game was intentionally designed very much like an arcade game, to be simple and easy to play.

When asked about his biggest source of frustration with playing certain games for the first time, creator of the BEACH HEAD series of games Pepe Moreno answered like this.

“I wanted to make a game that was fun and easy to play and I wanted to play it right away… without having to read a manual the size of Encyclopedia Britannica. Where's the play button? Why couldn’t I just play and enjoy the game right away without having to wait and task my brain in the process? Honestly, it’s a game… not a school project.”

At the time of its release, BEACH HEAD 2000, a simple and addictive arcade style game, was considered a sin in the PC gaming establishment, but it still became an overnight success. BEACH HEAD 2000 took off like wildfire. BEACH HEAD 2000, 2002 and the Desert War series of games, sold more than one million copies worldwide for PC and Mac. The (DRM enabled) downloadable version became one of the first and most successful downloadable games ever and jump started what later became known as the “Casual Games” industry. The games’ popularity and success also spurred arcade versions of the BEACH HEAD series that were distributed all over the world and ranked as the #1 money making game in the United States for 3 years in a row between 2002 and 2005.

In more ways than we ever anticipated, BEACH HEAD shifted and changed the game paradigm and arcade-like gameplay became a mainstream trend in the newer computer games as well as the game consoles that followed.

Did you know...

Beach Head 2000 Once Kept AC/DC from Going On Stage!?

BEACH HEAD 2000 was a true people’s game. The game was truly addictive, and had legions of loyal fans.

BEACH HEAD was a very beloved game with a unique affection factor and we got hundreds of emails and letters from people of all ages telling us how much they loved the game. Mothers and their daughters, an 80-year old in a retirement home, enlisted soldiers from bases all over the world, and even retired Generals. We also got emails from wives joking about possibly divorcing their husbands if they did not stop playing the game.

And most memorable of all, Pepe himself once got a call at 9pm one night from the drummer for AC/DC. He was calling during a concert intermission and needed to know how to pass level 52. The band was stuck and wouldn’t go back on stage until they passed it!

THE BEACH HEAD BRAND

BEACH HEAD 2000 was one of the most addictive PC and Arcade games ever, spawning several sequels and many copy cats with millions of devoted fans all over the world. There’s no doubt that BEACH HEAD benefits from worldwide name recognition and a unique sense of affection from the millions of fans that were entertained by it. Another fascinating and invaluable distinction to the brand’s value and prestige, is that thanks in part to the game’s unprecedented worldwide pirated success, the BEACH HEAD Brand has become even more popular especially in China, where it still enjoys the adulation of millions of fans today. And as good karma would have it, we have just signed a deal with Hero Entertainment, creators of the "Battlefield" series and one of the biggest Mobile Game and Entertainment companies in China. This should allow us to publish the next generation of BEACH HEAD games while expanding and legally protecting the brand at the same time.

16 years ago, BEACH HEAD 2000 changed the gaming paradigm by bringing a new experience to life.

Very soon, we’re going to do it again and we hope you’re going to be a part of it.

Keep on blasting,

........

Beach Head Mobile VR, the classic PC and Arcade hit on your mobile device. Take the battle with you anywere and play whenever you want.

15 years ago, game developer Digital Fusion and Global VR revolutionized arcade gaming with Beach Head 2000, the first ever Virtual Reality (VR) game and one of the most popular and addictive arcade games ever created.

Now, the original game creators are ready to do it again.

What is Beach Head 2000: Mobile VR?

Beach Head 2000 is a hard-core, non-stop, adrenaline-pumping first-person action shooter for your mobile device. As a lone gunner, you are the last line of defense against and overwhelming onslaught of enemy fire. You will be rattled as your high-caliber twin-barrel machine gun fires, and jolted as you fire the cannon and volley missiles at incoming aircraft and armor. Beach Head 2000 mobile VR will keep you at the edge of your seat until the battle’s bitter end.

But this is not your ordinary mobile game that you play while sitting still. Because in Beach Head 2000: Mobile VR, the battle is all around you and you’re literally (and physically) at the center of the attention.

In Fixed Position mode, you’ll tilt the phone to spin in the direction you want to shoot, but if you choose the body-twisting Free-Motion mode, you’ll be swiveling around like a mad man blasting at an enemy that only you can see.

That’s right, BH2K mobile VR because BH is a turret game and just like a turret gunner moves and turns in real life, you’ll move and turn around with your mobile device! Just imagine the scene of you or your friends spinning around – in your chair at work, waiting for a train, or just standing at the mall – while onlookers wonder what the heck you’re doing. If they ask, you’ll tell them: “Just playing Beach Head!” (BH2K)

Mobile Mobility

The Mobile concept is two fold, mobile in the sense that its PORTABLE and no longer attached to a wall or confined to your desktop PC, and mobile in the sense that that your smart phone or mobile device is the gaming platform. With BH Mobile VR you get the best of everything; you get the thrill of the full 360 degree all around you battle VR arcade gaming experience, the non-stop adrenaline pumping action of the game, take it anywhere you like and play it anytime you want.

Beach Bead and Virtual Reality

We are not new to the notion of VR gaming, infact the BH VORTEK hood in the arcade version was a first and the predecesor to the new notions of VR gaming. I'm sure that anyone in the oculus-rift development team could testefy to having played the successful BH arcade game. It was everywhere and you must agree that foreseing the VR notion in the original PC game was not small deal in the context of the incredible sucess that Beach Head has been all over the world. in China for instance the BH game was one of the most pirated PC title for three years in a row. We did not see a penny, but it shows how popular it was.

In the original arcade hit, Beach Head 2000 players lowered a VR hood over their heads, allowing them to move their entire body as they pivoted around (in six degrees of motion).

In the BH mobile version, you'll hold your phone infront of you and as a window to a 360º virtual reality world all arond you. Wherever you point the enemy will be there and coming at you from all directions of the virtual battlefield. A VR mobile version of te sucessful PC and the Arcade games is exciting as it is, but that’s not all, we are also adding some very powerful mobile-specific features that will enhance the game experience even more. Features like:

Motion feedback. Now In addition to sound, you'll feel the hits even when you do not see the shooter.

Directional sound. Directional sound to help with the perception distance and direction and to become more environmentally aware of what's around you.

Universal Score Board. Automatic high-score posting online for everyone to see with monthly tallies to go up in rank and win special patches and medals.

Score competitions. And because is mobile, you'll be able to engage in score competitions with your friends or anyone around the world wherever you are and whenever you want.

New Characters and story line. Meet drill sergeant prick and your relive body Bob and face off your ultimate nemesis Musso-Khan, who's favorite word is ATTACK!! ATTACK!! ATTACK!!

We are totally convinced that keeping it simple and keeping true is the only way to go with games. It was true then and remains true today. Above all games supose to be fun and compelling to play, keeping it simple, addictive and easy to play goes along way, the rest is important but is more like icing on the cake. We're not about to stray away from the principals that made Beach Head such a great success. We're confident that BH Mobile VR conveys all those pricipals and more. With mobity the game is more physical and even more in your face. Mobilty ads independence and a physical dimention that was not there before.

Beach Head 2000 was a true people’s game. This game was truly addictive, and had legions of loyal fans.
